April meeting projects

1)     Finish project bags – in addition to your finished back you will need:

 

16 ½” x 16 ½” lining fabric                             12 ½” x 12 ½” clear vinyl                                                             
             16 ½” x 16 ½” Craft Fuse                              16”or longer Zipper with plastic teeth                                                                                                                            

Fabric for front                                                           OPTIONAL TOOLS
         2 pieces 6” x 13” (sides)                                                                Zipper Foot
         3 pieces 4” x 17” (zipper panels & bottom band)             Binding Clips
         1 piece 3” x 10” - 12” (handle)                                           Wooden Iron
         2 pieces 2 ½” x 3”(zipper tab)                                            Wonder tape

2)     Optional extra project – drawstring gift bags:

            1 yard of fabric + drawstring cording

      OR 1 ¼ yard fabric if you make fabric drawstrings

Valentine Project

                  

 

Bring your scraps or yardage to make this simple heart wall hanging with the 12"Qube.  About ½ - 3/4 yard fabric for the heart and 1/4 yard for the background will make the heart and simple borders.  If you want to kick it up a notch and add ribbon borders - you'll need 1 1/4 yd of the heart fabric and 1/2 - 3/4 yard background.  Layer cake or charm squares will work for the heart and background.  You can also use a smaller die and leftover pieces to make the smaller version.
