BOM – Blazing Star – rough cuts per block / cut so that length of grain is longest edge of fabric / starch or stabilizer recommended

                Background  (4) 4”x 9”
                Medium Outer Star (2) 4”x 8”
                Dark Outer Star (2) 4” x 8”
                Medium Inner Star (2) 4” x 10 1/2”

                Dark Inner Star (2) 4” x 10 1/2”

Project – gift bags

                (4) 14 ½” x 14” fabric

                (2) 5” x 9” fabric

                (2) 14 ½” x 14” felt

                (1) 5”x 9”felt

                Additional fabric for handle or ribbon or webbing or

 

These fabrics are in the Die Cutters box for Christmas gift bags – you can use them, bring additional fabrics to complement them, or bring your own fabrics.  There is enough felt in the Die Cutters box for 3 gift bags.  Bring your own felt if you have some.  Please plan to take home any leftover fabric or felt that you bring.

          3 7/8" circle of heavy cardboard

            2 1/2" wooden embroidery hoop or top ½"of Pringles can

            2 3/8" circle of heavy cardboard
            14 ½" X 18" fabric

 

BOM – Inverted Star

 

Background:
     (1) 4.5 x 4.5″ square
     (4) 2.5 x 2.5″ squares
     (24) 2 ½" HST

Print fabric(s):
     (4) 2.5 x 2.5″ squares
     (24) 2 ½" HST

May BOM

May BOM will be a kickoff for a series of Half Square Triangle blocks.  These blocks require 32 half square triangles and 4 blocks will be presented in odd numbered months.  (The group will decide how many months we will do these blocks.)

 

The amount of fabric needed will depend on how many blocks you plan to make, how many fabrics you will use and the finished size of your blocks.

 

For 8”blocks – use 2” finished squares

For 12” blocks – use 3” finished squares

For 16”blocks – use 4”finished squares

 

Fabric Requirements

   2 color block - 16 HST of each color

   3+ color block - 16 HST of background

     16 HST - other colors-qty of each depends on block and color placement

12" finished block cut from accuquilt die
   3"finished squares - (4) HST - 4"x 9"strip     (9"xWOF = 40 HST)

16" finished block cut from acuquilt die
    4"finished squares - (4) HST - 5 1/4"X 11"   (11"X WOF = 28 HST)

There are 72 blocks to choose from on this site.

  

In May blocks 37, 54, 7 and 29 will be presented – you can make those blocks or choose different blocks to make.
