June Project

June’s Project is a zippered project bag – we will be making the front of the project bag during the meeting.  If you make your back before the meeting, you should be able to finish or almost finish the project during the meeting.

You can use any block you like, add borders if needed to make it a 16 ½” square.  For the sample I started with 4 fat quarters (3 different fabrics).  The back was made using our 12” Qube and the Blockade Block from the Accuquilt 72 Blocks Pattern.

Bargello Bedlam!

Okay, kids, here are the What If pictures to give you some ideas of what to do with your bargello blocks.

Let's start with the basic block:

  • To make four blocks, cut two 2½" strips x Width of Fabric from SIX fabrics.

Sew a set of six strips together and press the seam allowances toward the top fabric.

Sew the second set of strips together and press the seam allowances away from the top fabric.

Blog Issue

Judy was right – there was an issue with the minutes folder that was preventing opening past minutes.  I’ve tweaked the folder and think that I have the issue resolved – please let me know if you have trouble opening minutes or any documents on the blog.  Thanks for reporting the problem Judy.
